Best digital dash ever. These have been growing on me lately. So 1980's it hurts so good.

My water temp is just a hair under halfway, as it always has been.

Both my GTX and i7 CPU would shut down permanently under that temperature.

My Charger depends on the temperature. It’ll run at 150 until it hits about 70 degrees ambient. After that it runs at about a 1-1 increase with the outside air, 75 is 155, 90 is 170 or so, etc.

The 980's upper temperature limit is around 177*F and the i7... A lot of people would say the i7 (Skylake) would be throttled at 80*C.

Derp. Read GTX and thought Mazda 323 GTX, but obviously the NVidia card makes more sense. Also, AMD life means living that 90C life, so I didn’t think of that.

If I have to hear AMD and hot temps in the same sentence ever again, I will burst into bloody tears.
My ownership of an AMD rig taught me three things: little is never enough. DECENT IS NEVER ENOUGH.

Heh. TBH, I don’t really play too many graphics-intensive games, so for what I do, framerates are good enough. My money went into RAM and core/clock speed considerations. (Low-scale parallelized simulation with large datasets.) As long as TF2 plays at 60fps, I’m golden.

My F355 has been running cool (140-170F), according to the gauge. However, both radiator fans turn on, and they are set by thermal switches at 190F. I suspect the acutal temperature is fine and the coolant gauge (or its sensor) is off.
Is 180-ish also your typical operating temp?

Guys, I need a new gaming rig. Can you help me build a massive RAM 64 bit Windows box?
